We believe breeding dogs is not a right it is a privilege that far too many people take for granted. We are ethical breeders. We breed to a standard, as set by the Labradoodle Association of Australia (LAA).

We have always endeavoured to breed with the purchaser in mind. We focus on providing healthy, happy and sound Australian Labradoodles that will be companions for many years. Temperament and Soundness are paramount and we will never compromise these key elements in our breeding program.

With all of the Media Hype and Back Yard breeding going on at present it is important to mention at this point that ALL of our Breeding Dogs are X-Rayed for Hips and Elbows, Health Checked and have Current Eye Certificates PRIOR to us breeding with any of our dogs. WE ARE NOT A PUPPY FARM ( please see our information on our Carer Program) All of our breeding dogs have very low Hip/Elbow scores, much lower than the recommended breed average. The MULTI GENERATION Labradoodle has such wonderful qualities it is a shame to see even the slightest negativity toward them. Back yard breeders selling First Cross Labradoodles (Labrador Poodle Cross) and early Generation Labradoodles, have become a very negative influence in the dog breeding world, not only for the Labradoodle but for many breeds.

Having bred three other breeds, we have witnessed first hand what an exceptional animal the Australian Labradoodle is. Their temperament is consistent and kind. They demonstrate a high level of intelligence and are easily trained. They are social dogs, friendly and devoted to their owners. We have placed many puppies in homes with special needs children and in a relatively short time a natural bond has developed. They instinctively know they are needed….. a true companion dog.

We breed only with dogs that have a long history of genetic strength so as to lessen the likelihood of any genetic disorders occurring. It is our intention to sell you a puppy that will be a member of your family for many years to come. Our program is intentionally focused toward producing a Labradoodle with a non-shedding coat that is still suitable for the Australian climate. We are concentrating on keeping the coat structure less dense. This allows for easier maintenance while not compromising the benefits of a non shedding wool coat. We aim to produce a coat that is still manageable and easily maintained yet still hypoallergenic.

One of the benefits of crossing the Labrador and the Poodle is the ‘Hybrid Vigour’ that is present when you combine the characteristics of the two breeds. Some animal experts believe that 'cross breeding' either for one generation or several generations utilises the best characteristics of the two breeds to produce a 'super dog' such as the Labradoodle. This is called 'Hybrid Vigour'. It is interesting that Labradoodles, whether low shed or non-shed, are in most cases compatible with allergy sufferers.

Out-crossing is the key to health and genetic strength and an important element in our breeding program. We do not line breed. We breed with unrelated dogs - F1B Backcrosses to unrelated Multi Gen Labradoodles. We are breeding to maintain the true Characteristics of the Labradoodle as set by the Labradoodle Association of Australia (LAA). We breed toward a strong boned frame with a non-shedding coat. It is not our intention to re-create the ‘Poodle’ but to enhance both the Labrador and the Poodle. Both these breeds have wonderful qualities…..Loyal, High Intelligence (easy to train), Consistent Kind Temperament.

Both the Sire and the Dam of your puppy have been X-rayed for Hips, Elbows and have current Eye Certificates. We do not breed with any dog if they present with a ‘High’ hip or elbow score. Mother Nature, Diet and Lifestyle do, however, play a great part in the outcome of things. This is one of the reasons that we feed our dogs the BARF diet as developed by an Australian Vet Dr Ian Billinghurst B V Sc. We include all dietary advice when our puppies leave to go to their new homes. We are also available if advice is needed regarding diet, obedience or Labradoodle care.
